Forms Roadmap
A December 2005 Web site survey returned by over 700 girls, volunteers and council staff members revealed that the old Web site had grown too complicated and difficult to navigate. "Forms" was near the top of the complaint list.
Old vs. new concept: The old way of finding forms involved going to a "forms" section where you then had to choose from 15-20 sections, many of which were then subdivided and sometimes even sub-sub-divided before clicking onto your form. Thus, 3-5 clicks to find one form - too many clicks - too many complaints from volunteers.
The new way of finding a forms takes two clicks! All you have to do is first ask yourself, "Which section of the Web site would most logically hold the form I need?" Then go directly to that section's home page and the form will be found toward the bottom of the page where it says, "Forms and other resources related to..." While you're in that section picking up your form, you can also view timely messages on that section's home page - something we were not able to make happen in the old "Forms" section.
Below is a map to help you make the transition for finding forms. Please note that some forms are no longer available on the Web site because they are no longer in use by the council. Please see below, "Discontinued forms."
